However, I continue to believe that if we do our jobs and compel the media to pay attention to the failure and corruption of this administration, then it will be a far less attractive option for people like to Dr. Worrill to come out and support an administration whose corruption and incompetence is common knowledge not only to people like us, but to average media consumers.

I was intrigued to learn after the election that Dr. Conrad Worril of the Center for Inner City Studies at Northeastern, WVON, a man whose role in the election of Harold Washinton was pivotal- Dr. Worril supported Rahm Emanuel in this election. I believe we can expect to hear of a significant new building project on Northeastern South side campus in the near future. And I hear her was appointed to lead a troop of 4,000 paid election workers to turn out the vote. My source for this information is pretty tight, and perhaps it is something you already knew. I am sharing this information not to reinforce the idea that money rules the day, but so that we all understand how this battle is being fought. Our community leaders who supported our Rahm Emanuel this past election despite the best interests of the people they supposedly represent and advocate for- those leaders need to be brought to task for their willingness to be bought off.

I actually read it as “Thank you, Jesus (as in Christ)” and believed you were thanking the Lord that someone finally heard the complaints of Principals, Teachers and Parents. How could the Board of Education approve a 20 million dollar, no-bid contract for the CEO’s former employer at the same time they were closing 50 schools due to “lack of funds”? Insane! The timing of this investigation-AFTER the mayoral election-is utter trickery. It’s been a long time coming but was delayed to help the current mayor. I too join you in thanking Jesus. I thank Jesus Chuy Garica for standing up for the poor and powerless. I thank Jesus Christ for exposing the cesspool at CPS. And I thank both that a movement has begun and its momentum is only beginning.
